my life is my canvas
Originally from Portland, Oregon, I have always had a passion for art and design. I took as many art classes as possible in high school including photography, drawing, ceramics, and calligraphy. I loved participating in the Scholastic Art Awards and finally won a Gold Key my senior year. I participated in the RISD Pre-College Summer Program for Fashion Design and enjoyed the experience and learned a lot.
After graduating from the dual degree program at Parsons The New School for Design and Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts in December of 2015, I am happily pursuing as many creative opportunities as possible. I studied Fashion Design and Culture & Media Studies and have a passion for historical fashion and costume design as well as trend forecasting. I have taken courses in couture design techniques, machine and hand knitting, crochet, PR, trend forecasting, textiles, international policies, and photography. I am proficient at pattern drafting, draping, and design, and have a passion for color, photography and graphic design. I am well equipped to handle the Adobe Creative Suite as well as Microsoft Office.
